AUSTIN – The Texas House Republican Caucus (THRC) today released a statement following the passage of Senate Bill 1, the election integrity bill, in the House of Representatives.
“Senate Bill 1 will make it easier to vote and harder to cheat,” said THRC Chairman, Jim Murphy (R-Houston). “By expanding voting hours for the majority of Texas voters and providing election uniformity across the state, this bill will go a long way in ensuring the integrity of our elections. I want to thank Chairman Andrew Murr, the House sponsor of Senate Bill 1, for his leadership and shepherding this bill through the legislative process.”
