Governor Abbott stopped by the Texas House Republican Caucus meeting on Tuesday. Our members are fired up about working together to protect Texas and keep our economy strong.
This session will be focused on delivering results for Texans on election integrity, keeping businesses open, and cracking down on cities that defund police. Our members are already taking the lead on key legislation.
In case you missed it, the Governor in his "State of the State" address outlined five key emergency items for the Legislature to take up immediately. Those items are:
Liability Protections for Businesses
Broadband Access for All Texans
Elections Integrity
Bail Reform
Cracking Down on Defunding Police
In addition to these five "emergency items," the governor also announced that the Texas Legislature should make Texas a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State and continue to pursue the protection of unborn babies in the mother's womb. These are just a handful of the issues facing Texas that the legislature will tackle this session.
Be sure to follow the Caucus for updates on hot topics and the big bills making their way through the Texas House of Representatives. To learn more about the Texas House Republican Caucus, visit our About Us page.
